Welcome
Hand on heart
As a therapist, you often sense a change – and as a client, you do too – yet it often remains vague.
THE CHECK gets straight to the point – with just a few questions per session.
Subjective experience made visible. No tech stress. No great effort.
This is PROMS-CAM
The aim of the PROMS-CAM association is to enable therapists in the field of complementary and alternative therapies to provide systematic quality evidence through the use of software for PROMs (Patient-reported Outcome Measures). This evidence is intended to help increase the quality of therapeutic work and ensure a solid database. The data collected enables representative statements to be made on the effectiveness of CAM therapies for everyday complaints and activity limitations from the client’s perspective. This includes statements on behavioral changes caused by the therapy.
FAQs
What is behind this Quality Tool?
It is a simple instrument to accompany therapies. Clients regularly answer short questions about their well-being, their progress and their experience of the treatment.
The method is based on so-called “Patient Reported Outcome Measures” (PROMs), i.e. feedback that comes directly from clients. It was specially developed for complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and adapted to its needs.
The feedback system helps to
• identify positive and negative developments
• specifically address uncertainties
• jointly better understand what works in therapy
All information remains anonymous and is processed securely. Participation is voluntary.
Why should I Give Feedback?
Your assessments help to better understand the course of therapy.
How Does the Application Work?
The feedback is collected online using a short questionnaire. Alternatively, they can be completed together with your therapist or provided as a paper questionnaire.
How Often is Feedback Expected?
Depending on the agreement. Usually at the beginning of therapy and shortly after each treatment.
Who Sees My Information?
Only your therapist. The data is used exclusively for quality assurance.
How is My Data Stored?
All data is stored on protected servers in Switzerland, in compliance with the GDPR, of course.
Further information can also be found in our privacy policy.
Is My Data Anonymized?
Yes. Your data is stored anonymously, meaning without direct personal reference. Only anonymized information is used for statistical evaluations or quality comparisons. Only your therapist can view your personal feedback.
What Happens if I Don't Want to Provide Feedback?
That’s perfectly fine. Participation is voluntary. However, your feedback helps to make your personal development more visible. They are a valuable tool for self-reflection and for collaboration with your therapist.
Can I View My Feedback?
Yes and no. As long as the therapy is ongoing, you do not have access to your feedback, to ensure new feedback can be given as uninfluenced as possible. However, you can discuss your therapy progress with your therapist upon completion of therapy.
What Happens to My Data after the Therapy is Completed?
The data is archived and deleted after the statutory periods have expired. Earlier on request.
I Don't Use Digital Devices in My Therapy Rooms. Can I Still Use the Tool?
Yes, of course. In this case, print-ready paper questionnaires are available in the system. These can be filled out during the session and easily added to the tool later. This means that the application remains possible even without a digital infrastructure.
How is THE CHECK Funded?
THE CHECK is a project from the industry – for the industry.
To remain independent and strengthen the self-responsibility of complementary therapy, we have consciously refrained from sponsorship until now.
The project includes most of the therapy methods represented in CAMsuisse. Funding is provided on a solidarity basis. All EMR-recognized therapy forms that can participate in the project contribute a small amount per year, regardless of how often THE CHECK is used.
For clients, THE CHECK is completely free.
